Savatage - Sirens. Yes! This is an illustration of a personal project based on the classic sound "Sirens" by the heavy metal band Savatage. The song is on the band's first album, with the same name as the song, released in April 1983. This "redesign" was based on how it would be if the album was, in fact, a comic book from the same time. Hope you enjoy it!

Note the manual production of the drawing in pencil and then the final ink, for subsequent digital colorization, texturing, and lettering, all to simulate the "screen tones" printing system widely used in comics before the era of digital painting.
